Do I need a credit card?
No. Signing up, qualifying and using your free year never asks for a card. If you decide to continue after 12 months you add a payment method then — we never charge automatically.
Is this a lottery or a raffle?
No. There is no draw and no element of chance. The first 13 people who complete the three steps while spots remain win, in the order they qualify.
What counts as "create a link"?
One successful short link from your verified account — from the shortener page, the API, or a completed Bitly import. Existing links from before the offer started don't count.
Can I import from Bitly instead of shortening a URL?
Yes. A completed import counts as your first link. Connect Bitly from the Import page and your links, slugs and click history come with you.
What happens after 12 months?
Your account moves to the standard price of your plan only if you add a payment method and choose to continue. Otherwise you return to the Free plan and every link keeps working.
