What is the giveaway?
For a limited time, the first 13 new accounts that sign up, verify their email and create their first link win a free 12-month subscription: 3 spots for Pro and 10 for Starter. It is a conditional offer — there is no draw and no element of chance. Spots are assigned in the order people qualify, Pro first, then Starter.
Step-by-step: how to qualify
- Sign up — create a new AWSYS.CO account at awsys.co/login?register=true during the offer period. Email, Google or GitHub all work.
- Verify your email — open the verification email and click the link. Check your spam or promotions folder if you don't see it within a minute; you can resend it from the banner on the shortener page. Links cannot be created until your email is verified.
- Create your first link — shorten any URL on the shortener page, or complete an import from Bitly on the Import page. The first successful link is your entry.
- That's it — if a spot is open when your first link is created, the plan is applied to your account immediately and you receive a confirmation email. There is nothing to redeem.
Verification email not arriving?
Check your spam and promotions folders first. Then use the "Resend verification email" button on the amber banner at the top of the shortener page. If it still doesn't arrive, open a support ticket and we'll verify you manually.

Common questions
How do I know if I won?
You receive an email titled "You won Pro/Starter free for 12 months" and your plan badge in Settings changes immediately. If you created a link and didn't win, all 13 spots were already taken — the live counter on the giveaway page shows what's left.
Does an existing account qualify?
No. Only accounts created after the offer started are eligible. Creating a second account to get around this is not allowed and voids both accounts.
Does importing from Bitly count?
Yes. A completed import (at least one link written) counts as your first link, exactly like shortening a URL by hand.
Will I be charged after the year?
Never automatically. Near the end of the 12 months we email you; if you want to keep the plan you add a payment method then. Otherwise you move to the Free plan and nothing is deleted.
